Technical Advisory Group

The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) was made up of English Partnerships' staff and representatives from ODPM, Housing Corporation, cost consultants and a health and safety consultant. The TAG organised a number of evaluation groups to assess the second stage bids. These groups looked at different aspects of the bid, including design, sustainability, cost, innovation, process, and health and safety.

The results of these evaluation groups was co-ordinated by the TAG and sent to the Tender Evaluation Panel (TEP) for approval. The TEP looked through the recommendations of the TAG and decided on those bids that should be winners and which should be highly commended. This was then put to the Deputy Prime Minister for final approval, before the winners and those highly commended were announced on 9 August 2005.
